VP Of Quality Risk Management - Tallahassee, FL

Provide leadership for planning, management, implementation, integration and coordination of the Quality Department and Medical Staff Services in support of facility goals dedicated to excellence, effective leadership, and financial stability. The Quality Department includes Infection Control, Joint Commission, CMS compliance, Core Measure Abstraction, and Medical Staff peer review and quality oversight, as well as facility wide performance improvement and quality oversight. The VP of Quality & Compliance supports the delivery of the high quality, cost effective patient care through activities based on facility strategic goals and objectives.

Qualifications

RN license preferred, not required
CPHQ, CPPS preferred
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred, graduate from an accredited RN or other healthcare related field
Minimum of 5 years health care experience with a focus on Quality Management, performance improvement, and/or Risk Management in a supervisory and/or management capacity required
Thorough knowledge of Quality Assessment and Improvement, Medical Staff Credentialing, Medical Terminology, and must possess fundamental knowledge of hospital regulatory requirements, standards of Joint Commission, CMS, and other State and Federal Regulations

Additional Information:

288 bed hospital with 3 external FSEDs
Position reports to hospital CMO
3 Direct reports plus 3 indirect reports (Director of Infection Prevention, Coordinator IP, Director Quality, Quality Analyst, Director Patient Safety/Risk, and Manager Risk Management)
Responsible for overseeing all regulatory activities (joint commission, state interventions, etc.), be familiar with core measures and strategic initiatives, and provide oversight to the leaders they have as direct reports (infection prevention, quality, patient safety, risk management)
Will be responsible for collecting a lot of data and presenting the findings
Need to know how to run a hospital-wide quality council and present to a board of trustees as well as other hospital executives
