Ultrasound Technologist – Free-Standing Emergency Department
Location: Kennewick, Washington
Openings: 2 Full-Time Positions
Schedule: 36 hours per week, variable shifts
Compensation: $68,815 – $101,519 annually
Incentives: Up to $20,000 hiring bonus (for eligible candidates) + relocation assistance
About the Role
We are seeking skilled Ultrasound Technologists to join our team at a Free-Standing Emergency Department in Kennewick, WA. In this role, you will operate sonography equipment and provide high-quality imaging services to support diagnosis and treatment of patients in emergency care.
In addition to ultrasound, technologists may be trained on patient care tasks including vital signs, EKGs, wound care, and orthopedic splinting. This position requires professionalism, adaptability, and excellent communication skills while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary emergency care team.
Key Responsibilities

Perform sonographic exams safely and effectively for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes

Provide X-ray services if Radiology Technologist certified

Support patient care through tasks such as vitals, EKGs, wound care, and splinting

Maintain compliance with quality assurance standards, policies, and procedures

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and diagnostic imaging supervisors to ensure accurate results and excellent patient care
Required Qualifications

Completion of an approved Ultrasound Technology Training Program

Associate’s degree or higher in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (or equivalent education/experience)

National Certification from ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) – or – Registered Technologist in Sonography (ARRT-S)

BLS certification (AHA) upon hire
Preferred Qualifications

Washington State Radiologic Technologist license

ARRT certification in Radiography

1+ year experience as a registered or registry-eligible sonographer
