Job Description
A Cardiac ECHO Sonographer opportunity is available in Farmington, NM, at a 198-bed Level III trauma center serving the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah. The facility operates a comprehensive cardiovascular program alongside a cancer center, childbirth center, inpatient behavioral health unit, pediatric unit, nephrology unit, and day surgery center, with PCI services holding accreditation. Because of its regional location, the trauma program receives Level I, II, and III cases transferred by air from across the surrounding area.
The role. The Cardiac ECHO Sonographer works within the Cardiopulmonary Specialty Services department, performing echocardiographic studies across all patient age groups — from pediatric through adult and geriatric populations. Primary imaging is performed on GE Vivid E95 equipment, with all documentation and workflow managed in Cerner. The core focus of daily practice is adult echocardiography, with pediatric ECHO experience considered a strong asset. The sonographer also participates in a rotating call schedule, covering one full week of call every fifth week, including rare weekend call obligations on the same cycle.
What we're looking for.
- CCI (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) or RDCS credential required
- BLS certification required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of acute care echocardiography experience
- New Mexico licensure or Compact licensure not required at time of application; must be obtained prior to start date
Schedule. Day shift position with call rotation covering one full week every fifth week, including every fifth weekend on call.
Compensation. $32.43 - $51.88/hr plus $1 sign-on bonus
