CVOR Assistant
Job Description
The Certified Surgical Technologist – Surgical First Assistant (CSTFA) - CVOR provides aid in exposure, hemostasis, and other technical functions, including saphenous vein harvesting, that will help the surgeon carry out a safe operation with optimal results for the patient.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by an accredited agency.
- Current Certification as Surgical First Assistant through a nationally accredited certification agency.
- High School Diploma
- BLS certification required
- Current acute clinical care experience preferred
- Current experience in Surgery as a CSTFA
- Current experience in CVOR and vein harvesting
Additional Information
- CVOR requires open heart and cardiovascular experience
- Shift: 4-10 Hour Shifts OR 3-12 Hour Shifts (depending on department needs)
- CSTFA Certification required
- Cardiothoracic experience is okay as long as the candidate has done open heart cases
- On Call requirement is 1 day a week and 1 weekend per month
Salary Range: Min: $44.43 - Max: $66.61 (Based on Years of Experience)
Relocation: Case by Case Basis
Sign-On Bonus: $20,000
- Evening Shift: $1.50 per hour
- Night Shift: $2.10 per hour
- Weekend Shift: $1.50
- On-Call Pay: $6.00 per hour
- Call-Back Pay: If called to work after having left the Hospital’s property when On-Call, an employee shall be paid, a minimum of two (2) hours of Call-Back premium pay at the rate of one and one-half (1½,) times the employee’s straight time hourly rate for all hours actually worked, plus one (1) hour at the employee’s base hourly rate of pay to compensate the employee for time spent in traveling to and from the Hospital.
