A Sterile Processing Manager opportunity is available in Asheville, NC at an 815-bed regional referral center for tertiary and quaternary care, the region's only Level II trauma center, and a Magnet®-designated hospital.

The role. Reporting to the Director of Sterile Processing, the Sterile Processing Manager leads day-to-day departmental operations across a team of 80 FTEs and 7 Team Leads, supporting service lines that include Endoscopy, the OR, CVOR, Labor and Delivery, and both Inpatient and Outpatient Ambulatory Clinics. The manager partners with the Director to recruit, orient, and ensure the ongoing competence of departmental staff, while maintaining and continuously improving quality control programs. This role also drives cross-departmental coordination to ensure operational efficiency and serves as a resource for staff education and professional development.

What we're looking for.
  • Two Year Surgical Technology Course or CRCST/CSPDT (required); Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
  • CSPDT/IAHCSMM Certification required
  • A minimum of three (3) years Sterile Processing experience, Two Year Surgical Technology Course or CRCST by (IAHCSMM) or CSPDT Certification
  • A minimum of two (2) years of leadership experience is required
  • Knowledge of operating room instrumentation and equipment
  • Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control

Schedule. Full-Time – Evenings; generally 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm; hours may vary depending on department needs and meetings.

Compensation. $52,000 - $90,000 per year plus $5,000 sign-on bonus
