Job Description
A 290-bed acute care hospital and designated Level II Trauma Center in Hudson, FL is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist to join its team. The facility is home to a nationally acclaimed Heart Institute and has been a cornerstone of healthcare in northwest Pasco County since 1981.
The role. The Respiratory Therapist evaluates patients' respiratory needs and develops and implements individualized Respiratory Care Plans across all age groups. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting up and administering routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures, as well as the application and operation of acute care ventilators used for continuous short- and long-term mechanical ventilation. The therapist maintains department and hospital records and enters accurate therapy documentation into the hospital computer system. The role requires the ability to work self-directed in the absence of the full-time Team Leader.
What we're looking for.
- Completion of a Vocational/Technical program or an AMA approved respiratory care program (Associates Degree); Bachelor Degree preferred
- Current Florida State License (CRT) Certified Respiratory Therapist
- American Heart Association BLS health care provider required
- ACLS, PALS and NRP within 6 months of hire
Schedule. Full-time, nights with rotating weekends.
Compensation. $27.09 - $37.92/hr plus $20,000 sign-on bonus
