Job Description
This opening is for a Registered Respiratory Therapist in Kissimmee, FL, at a Joint Commission accredited 404-bed regional medical center serving Osceola County, minutes from Orlando. The hospital operates a Comprehensive Stroke Center, a Level II NICU, a Heart & Vascular Institute, Pediatric ER, and a full Women's Services program, along with a freestanding emergency department in the community.
The role. Working under general supervision, the RRT will set up and administer both routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures across all patient age groups. A core responsibility is the application and management of acute care ventilators for continuous short- and long-term mechanical ventilation. Therapists are expected to function with a high degree of independence in the absence of the Team Leader, maintaining department records and entering accurate therapy documentation into the hospital's electronic systems.
What we're looking for.
- Minimum 1 year of RRT experience
- Associate's degree from an AMA-approved respiratory care program
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Florida RRT license must be in hand at time of hire
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Schedule. Days and nights available, both with rotating weekends.
Compensation. $27.42 - $36.95/hr plus Night Shift diff: $4.50 Weekend diff: No Sign On: $15k RELO case by case
