Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Observation Unit within our Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and an understanding various medical procedures.
Schedule: Days OR Nights
(Rotating Weekends)
7:00am - 7:00pm
7:00pm - 7:00am
Pay Range: $30 - $42 per hour
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $20,000
Relocation Assistance: Available
Job Type: FT / Permanent (Non-Contract)
Responsibilities:
1. Admission Procedures: Managing the admission process, including completing necessary documentation, coordinating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and ensuring that all required consent forms and paperwork are accurately completed.
2. Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record.
3. Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication.
4. Monitoring and Documentation: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of patient admissions, including clinical notes, care plans, and progress reports.
5. Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
Requirements:
- 1 year of acute care RN experience (any specialty)
- Have Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) Certification (or able to obtain).
- Registered Nurse License (Florida).
