Job Description
A 290-bed acute care hospital and designated Level II Trauma Center in Hudson, FL is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for its Med/Surg unit. The facility is home to a nationally acclaimed Heart Institute and has served the northwest Pasco County community since 1981.
The role. The Med/Surg RN is responsible for assessing, planning, intervening, and evaluating the care of patients on the unit. This role involves administering medications in accordance with physician orders, maintaining and reviewing patient records including posting test and examination results, and providing instruction to patients and families regarding medications and treatment plans.
What we're looking for.
- Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire.
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
- Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred; recent LTAC experience does not meet this requirement.
- Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Schedule. Full-time, night shift with rotating weekends.
Compensation. $30.00 - $42.00/hr plus Sign-on bonus available
