Job Description
This 288-bed acute-care hospital in Tallahassee, FL is seeking an Oncology RN to join its Med-Surg Oncology team. The hospital provides comprehensive services including a Cancer Center, Behavioral Health Center, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Heart & Vascular Center, Stroke Center, and Surgical Services, among others.
The role. Working within a patient-centered care model, the Oncology RN performs comprehensive clinical assessments and manages treatment plans autonomously, analyzing data to determine diagnoses and identify individualized expected outcomes for each patient. The nurse serves as a dedicated advocate for patient safety and care quality within an interdisciplinary team, collaborating closely with colleagues to coordinate effective use of time, supplies, and equipment. A meaningful part of this position involves educating patients and their families about medications, procedures, and treatments, providing consistent support throughout their hospital stay.
What we're looking for.
- 1 year of recent acute care Med-Surg RN experience required
- Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
- Current BLS required
- Current ACLS preferred, required within 6 months of hire
- BSN is preferred
Schedule. Days (rotating weekends): 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.; Nights (rotating weekends): 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
Compensation. $30.89 - $43.25/hr plus $15,000 sign-on bonus
