The hospitals are seeking skilled and compassionate Physical Therapists to join innovative, patient-centered Rehabilitation Services Departments at premier acute-care hospitals. As part of a dedicated team, you'll work in a Level 1 or II trauma facility that prioritizes evidence-based practices and comprehensive care.
About the Role:
- You'll be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team providing physical therapy services across various settings, including:
- Acute inpatient rehabilitation
- Joint replacement & spinal surgery
- Neurosurgery
- ICU and telemetry
- Skilled nursing
- Outpatient therapy
- Specialized clinics
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients and implement treatment plans under physician supervision
- Provide high-quality care to diverse patient populations, from infants to geriatric patients
- Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Deliver evidence-based treatments for orthopedic, medical, medical-surgical, and neuro-rehab patients
- Contribute to peer education through annual in-service presentations
- Collaborate with Physical Therapy Assistants and Aides in a supervisory capacity
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and interdepartmental programs
Required Qualifications:
- Valid state Physical Therapy license or documentation of eligibility
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and quality patient care
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supervising Physical Therapy Assistants and Aides
- 1+ year of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist
