Job Description
This Occupational Therapist role is based at a 558-bed acute care hospital in Atlantis, FL — a Joint Commission certified Primary Stroke Center, American College of Cardiology Chest Pain Center, and American College of Surgeons accredited Comprehensive Community Cancer Program with cardiovascular, neuroscience, robotic surgery, orthopedic, spine, and behavioral health services across four Palm Beach County locations.
The role. The Occupational Therapist manages the full continuum of occupational therapy care for an assigned patient caseload in coordination with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team. Day-to-day, this clinician conducts evaluations and treatment interventions within the scope of practice defined by law and professional ethics, assesses functional and rehabilitative status, and contributes to individualized plan-of-care development and patient placement decisions. Treatment work involves purposeful, skilled interventions using procedures and techniques designed to produce measurable changes in condition or function consistent with the physician's plan of care, with ongoing observation and documentation of patient response and condition changes. The OT also communicates relevant payor requirements to the physician, treatment team, patient, and family in a timely manner, and takes ownership of caseload prioritization, daily staffing needs, and coordination of assignments and handoffs.
What we're looking for.
- Bachelor's degree required
- Registered Occupational Therapist (ROT) credential required
- 1 year of experience preferred; new graduates will be considered
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Schedule. Full-time, day shift with rotating weekends.
Compensation. $32.62 - $46.50/hr plus SOB and Relocation on a case by case basis
