Located in North Carolina, our state-of-the-art urgent care center will provide high-quality medical services to patients in need of immediate care for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries. Job Summary:

As the RN Manager of our soon-to-be-opened urgent care facility, you will play a vital role in leading and coordinating the nursing team to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to our patients. You will oversee daily operations, manage staff schedules, and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines. We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and highly organized individual with strong leadership skills to excel in this role. You will oversee 4 RNs, 1 x-ray tech, 2 paramedics, NPs, and security and registration.




Responsibilities:




Leadership and Supervision:
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the nursing team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Manage and coordinate nursing staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage to meet patient demand.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings, addressing concerns, providing feedback, and promoting professional growth.
  • Collaborate with other department managers to ensure seamless workflow and effective patient care coordination.

Patient Care and Clinical Oversight:
  • Ensure that nursing staff delivers patient-centered care and follows established protocols and standards.
  • Conduct regular rounds to assess patient care quality, identify areas for improvement, and provide feedback.
  • Coordinate and assist in triaging patients, performing clinical assessments, and administering treatments, as needed.
  • Oversee medication management and ensure adherence to medication administration protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.

Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including state and federal laws, and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Oversee infection control practices and maintain a sterile and clean environment.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient satisfaction surveys, implement improvement measures as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, ensuring adherence to established standards and protocols.

Staff Development and Training:
  • Provide ongoing education and training to nursing staff on clinical practices, procedures, and policies.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, promoting professional development opportunities for staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and identify areas for improvement, offering guidance and support for professional growth.

Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain effective communication channels within the nursing team and other departments.
  • Act as a liaison between nursing staff and upper management, facilitating open and transparent communication.

Facility Opening and Team Building:
  • Contribute to the successful launch of the new urgent care facility.
  • Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding process for direct reports, including 4 RNs, an x-ray tech, an EV, 2 paramedics, Registration and security team, and Nurse Practitioners.
  • Foster team cohesion and create a positive work environment.




Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an urgent care, emergency department, or critical care setting.
  • Prior experience in a leadership or managerial role is highly desirable.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and proficiency in urgent care procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and quality assurance practices.
