Job Description

This OR Nurse Manager opportunity is based in Hendersonville, TN at a 150-bed community hospital that has served the region for more than 40 years. The facility is the first Accredited Chest Pain Center in Sumner County, a Certified Primary Stroke Center, and holds Gold Seal Certification from The Joint Commission in Total Hip and Total Knee replacement. It is also home to Sumner County's only Level II NICU, housed within a dedicated Birth Center with LDRP suites and lactation services.

This leader drives evidence-based practice to strengthen patient safety and quality outcomes, ensuring staff consistently meet established standards of care. The manager owns all personnel functions — recruiting, hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management — while maintaining appropriate staffing levels to sustain unit workflow. Day-to-day, this role provides direct support and clinical expertise to OR staff, coordinates department safety procedures and operational goals, and addresses patient, visitor, or physician concerns promptly and professionally. Cross-disciplinary collaboration to improve care delivery is a consistent expectation of the position.

  • Minimum 1 year of related clinical experience required
  • Prior clinical leadership experience required; Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Lead experience will be considered
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Schedule. Full-time, Monday through Friday, day shifts of approximately 8 hours with no regular weekend or call rotation; the role carries 24/7 accountability for the team and may step into staffing coverage as operationally needed.

Compensation. $90,900 - $136,200 per year plus $10,000 sign-on bonus

Brent McKenzie
Franchise Partner (Southwest FL)

Brent McKenzie’s career in hospitality began at his family’s resort, where he learned the business from the ground up. From there, he moved into restaurants, starting as a dishwasher and working through every role a restaurant has to offer. Over 25 years, that hands-on experience grew into more than a decade of management, including opening several new businesses of varying sizes. He capped off his hospitality career running restaurant operations at a large luxury convention hotel. Along the way, he developed a sharp eye for talent: the ability to recognize who’s ready to perform on day one, and who has the potential to grow into something bigger.

When COVID reshaped the hospitality industry in 2020, Brent brought those same instincts into healthcare recruiting. Six years in, he’s built a reputation for taking the time to understand what each client actually needs, not just the job description, but the team dynamics, the culture, and the kind of person who’ll thrive there. For candidates, he’s the kind of recruiter who listens first. He wants to know where you’re trying to go in your career, what you’re looking for in your next role, and what would make a move worth making. That way, when he brings an opportunity to the table, it’s one worth considering.

Brent is dedicated to seeing every search through. His attention to detail, persistence, and genuine interest in the people on both sides of the hire are what his clients and candidates come back for.
