Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate New Grad (RN) to join our Med/Surg Floor. The ideal candidate should possess strong clinical skills, effective communication abilities, and a genuine commitment to enhancing the well-being of our medical-surgical patients.
Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent
Pay Range: $29 - $35 per hour
Sign-On Bonus: $15,000
Relocation Assistance: $5,000
Shifts: 7:00pm - 7:00am (Mon - Fri) + Rotating Weekends
Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients throughout the entire continuum, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
- Treatment Administration: Administer and monitor chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other cancer-related treatments, ensuring adherence to protocols and guidelines.
- Symptom Management: Assess and manage symptoms related to cancer and its treatments, including pain, nausea, and other side effects, to enhance patient comfort and quality of life.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on treatment options, side effects, and self-care measures to empower them in managing their condition and making informed decisions.
- Collaborative Care: Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, including oncologists, nurse practitioners, and other specialists, to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough medical records, documenting patient assessments, interventions, and responses to treatments.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in ongoing professional development, attend educational opportunities, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the oncology unit.
Requirements:
- Have Tennessee RN License (by Dec 2024)
- No Experience Required
- Willing to train into specialties: Med/Surg - Oncology, Ortho, Trauma, Neuro
