Location: Loxahatchee, FL
Shift Schedule: NIGHTS ONLY, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Job Description:
We are seeking an Respiratory Therapist to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team in Loxahatchee, FL. The ideal candidate must have Level 3 NICU experience and is required to have either a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential, with a preference for RRT. This position involves providing respiratory care to premature and critically ill newborns in the NICU.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory care to neonatal patients in the Level 3 NICU.
- Administer and monitor mechanical ventilators, non-invasive ventilation, and other respiratory therapies.
- Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysis to assess the patient's respiratory status.
- Collaborate with the NICU healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care.
- Assist with neonatal resuscitation and emergency situations.
- Educate NICU staff and parents on respiratory care techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in neonatal respiratory care.
Salary Range:
- CRT:
- 2 years of experience: $25.22 per hour
- 5 years of experience: $27.58 per hour
- 10 years of experience: $29.35 per hour
- 17 years of experience (MAX): $34.48 per hour
- RRT:
- 2 years of experience: $27.74 per hour
- 5 years of experience: $30.34 per hour
- 10 years of experience: $32.29 per hour
- 17 years of experience (MAX): $37.92 per hour
