Job Description
A Medical Technologist opportunity is available in Brooksville, FL. This full-time position is based in a clinical laboratory setting where you will perform stat and routine testing across Blood Bank, Chemistry, and Hematology sections.
The role. Working under the direction of a Laboratory Supervisor, Manager, or Director, you will apply theoretical concepts of laboratory medicine and independent judgment to deliver timely and accurate results across multiple technical disciplines. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing stat procedures within established turnaround time targets, executing quality control protocols and completing all required documentation, and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions as they arise. You will analyze proficiency testing samples, review pending and result logs to resolve outstanding workload, and take corrective action when patient, control, calibration, or proficiency results fall outside acceptable parameters. In the absence of a supervisor, you will assume appropriate departmental responsibility and support compliance with regulatory agency requirements such as CAP.
What we're looking for.
- A 2 Year/Associate Degree is required
- A 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology is preferred
- A State of Florida Technologist License is required
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Technologist
Schedule. Full-time, third shift (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM) with 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shift options and rotating weekends.
Compensation. $27.09 - $37.92/hr plus ON CALL: $2; NIGHT DIFF: $2.50; Sign on: Night Shift- 10K/ Day shift- $5K; Relo- Case by case
