FLORIDA (St. Petersburg / Tampa / Brookesville Locations) - Medical Technologist
Job Summary:
Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. You will Conduct a wide range of complex laboratory tests on patient samples such as blood, urine, and other bodily fluids. Tests may include hematology, microbiology, clinical chemistry, immunology, and molecular diagnostics.
Shift: 1st, 2nd and 3rd Available
Hourly Wage: $30 - $40 per/hour (Shift Differential Available)
Sign-On-Bonus: Up to $10,000
Relocation Assistance: Available
Expected Tasks:
- Quality Control: Ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results by performing quality control procedures, maintaining equipment, and adhering to standard operating procedures.
- Data Analysis: Analyze test results, interpret findings, and accurately report findings to physicians or other healthcare providers in a timely manner.
- Instrument Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Compliance: Adhere to all regulatory requirements, including those set forth by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and other relevant regulatory agencies.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all laboratory tests performed, including patient information, test results, and quality control data.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and laboratory staff, to provide comprehensive patient care.
Requirements:
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field.
- 1 - 2 Years Experience (preferred).
- Valid Florida Technologist License (required).
- Some Blood Banking Experience (highly preferred).
- Serology, Hematology, Microbiology, Chemistry Experience (preferred).
- This is NOT a Laboratory Assistant or Technician position.
- MUST be a Florida Licensed Technologist or Scientist.
