This Med-Surg RN opportunity is based in Kansas City, MO at a 585+ bed hospital featuring a Level I Trauma Center, a Primary Stroke Center, a Chest Pain Center, and a Breast Care Center.

The role. Registered Nurses on the Medical-Surgical Unit care for adult patients presenting with a broad mix of medical, surgical, cardiac, and neurologic conditions — including general, urology, and vascular post-surgical patients. The unit serves stable Level I Trauma patients and tends to care for a higher-acuity Med-Surg population, with limited drip management. RNs conduct comprehensive nursing assessments in accordance with standards of care and disease-specific protocols, develop and evaluate individualized care plans to optimize patient outcomes, and provide direct nursing care while supervising non-licensed nursing staff within their scope of practice. Patient and family education — tailored to age, culture, condition, and circumstance — is woven into every aspect of care delivery.

What we're looking for.
  • Graduate from school of nursing with either an ADN or BSN degree
  • Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation
  • Minimum of 1 year of Acute Care RN experience required (does not need to be recent acute care experience)
  • BLS required upon hire
