Job Description
The Hospital is seeking an experienced nursing leader to manage our busy Surgical Services department. The Manager of Surgical Services oversees the OR, PACU, Endoscopy, and Sterile Processing departments in our 140+ bed community hospital with ER chest pain and stroke accreditation. This role requires a dynamic individual with at least 5 years of nursing experience, including experience in surgical services leadership.
The Manager will lead a team of 65 FTEs and ensure smooth daily operations, exceptional patient care and outcomes, regulatory compliance, and high employee engagement and retention. Core responsibilities include staff recruitment and development, budget management, maintaining optimal staffing levels, fostering collaboration across departments, implementing process improvements, adhering to policies and standards, and more. Superior communication and interpersonal abilities are essential to represent the department effectively across the organization.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, have a patient-centered approach, demonstrate critical thinking under pressure, and have a successful track record in surgical services management. An RN license and BSN degree are required. Previous experience in a hospital surgical services leadership role highly preferred.
We offer a competitive base salary to $128,000, benefits package and a great team culture. Relocation allowance and sign-on bonus are available, too.
