A hospital in Houston, TX is seeking a mid-level Manager of ED and Observation Case Management to oversee case management operations on the adult side of a Texas Medical Center facility. This role carries direct responsibility for leading a case management team within the Emergency Department and Observation units.

The role. The Manager will provide leadership and oversight across utilization management, discharge planning, and case management functions for ED and Observation patient populations. This position requires on-site presence at the facility and involves guiding both nursing and social work staff to ensure appropriate care coordination and resource utilization. The role does not require travel beyond the assigned location.

What we're looking for.
  • Current and valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Texas, OR Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW); LCSW preferred
  • Case Manager Certification required
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in utilization management, case management, and discharge planning
  • Minimum three (3) years of demonstrated leadership experience
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in hospital-based nursing or social work
  • Must report in-person to assigned facility; position is not fully remote
  • No visa sponsorship available

Compensation. $108,867 - $130,000 per year
