Manger of Social Services
Full-Time – Days - Rotating Weekends
Position Summary
This position reports to the Director of Case Management and oversees the operations of Social Services Department. Plans, directs and coordinates all operational activities for areas of responsibility. Develops policies and procedures as well as the quality improvement programs for areas of responsibility. Develops the capital and operating budgets in areas of responsibility. Ensures areas of responsibility are appropriately staffed by hiring and retaining competent staff. Performs additional duties as assigned.
Responsible for maintaining acceptable turnover in areas of responsibility. Ensures operations run within budgetary guidelines. Responsible for positive employee engagement and appropriate communication with staff. Responsible for quality and performance improvement activities in department and multidisciplinary. Responsible for positive customer satisfaction results. Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines as set by federal, state, and local and other agencies (i.e JCAHO, Medicare, CMS) Facilities positive productive relationships with physicians.

Education:
Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW)
License/Certifications:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred
Experience:
· 2 years of general acute care / experience, or 2 years of non-acute care progressive leadership experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
· Evidence of experience which defines competency in Social Services, progressive acute care management experience, trauma/stroke and homelessness case management/discharging planning preferred
Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to manage department employee regulations/HR issues
Ability to work at a fast pace and to prioritize multiple assignments/projects and responds to numerous requests
Manage stress appropriately and make decisions under pressure
Work with a diverse mix of people
Current Microsoft, Computer, and other relevant software skills
Additional Information:
LCSW CA License REQUIRED
Acute Care Experience REQUIRED
Must have experience with understanding law about discharging homeless patients, trauma assessments, managing social issues
