PENNSYLVANIA (Ephrata) - Lead Medical Technologist




Summary:

We are looking for a Lead Medical Laboratory Technologist with at least 4 years of experience (as a Technologist or related position) who can lead a clinical laboratory team. Work within a Core Lab that serves acute care facilities, rehabs, hospitals, physician practices and surgery centers throughout the state. You will ensure that thousands of our patients are provided with timely and accurate diagnostic information. You will be responsible for overseeing microbiology, histology, hematology, immunology and pathology operations.




Pay Range: $32 - $33 per hour

Shifts: Days




Expected Task:
  • Oversee specimen collection, specimen processing and specimen referral testing.
  • Supervise technical and/or non-technical laboratory personnel and assign areas/shifts.
  • Supervise and/or participate in processes, service levels, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop monitoring systems for the collection, documentation and reporting of quality assessment and improvement data;
  • Extracts pertinent information from quality assessment and improvement studies.
  • Concurrently monitor resource utilization, including payroll, supplies and expenses, client volume and revenue variation reports.
  • Provides leadership in the coaching, guidance, training, and talent development of staff.
  • Performs the duties of a medical technologist, including tests and procedures.




Requirements:
  1. 4 years experience as a Medical Technologist (required)
  2. Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology or Related Science Field (required)
  3. Applicable Certification: MT(ASCP), HTL(ASCP), SC (ASCP), etc.)
