Laboratory Supervisor
Job Description
Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist with leadership experience, who can lead a clinical laboratory team that performs anatomic pathology services. You will ensure our hundreds of physician's offices and hospitals are provided with timely and accurate diagnostic information. You will be responsible for overseeing microbiology, histology and pathology operations.
Sign On Bonus: $10,000 + 15% Annual Bonus (based on KPI's)
Pay Range: $30 - $50 per hour
Work Site Location: Gainesville, FL
Shifts: 1st Shift, Mon - Friday (+Rotating Weekends)
Expected Task:
- Oversee specimen collection, specimen processing and specimen referral testing.
- Supervise technical and/or non-technical laboratory personnel and assign areas/shifts.
- Supervise and/or participate in processes, service levels, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop monitoring systems for the collection, documentation and reporting of quality assessment and improvement data;
- Extracts pertinent information from quality assessment and improvement studies.
- Concurrently monitor resource utilization, including payroll, supplies and expenses, client volume and revenue variation reports.
- Provides leadership in the coaching, guidance, training, and talent development of staff.
- Screen, interview and select qualified individuals for open positions within the department.
Requirements:
- Five years experience as a MLT Generalist (required)
- Prior supervisory experience (preferred)
- Associate Degree in Science or (required)
- Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology (preferred)
- Florida State Supervisor License (required)
- Licensure in 3 technical specialties (required)
- ASCP or AMT (required)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (required)
