Position Description
Job: Laboratory Supervisor
Shift: Full-Time – Days – No Weekends
Location: Chattanooga, TN
Hospital: TBA
Min - $29.30 Mid - $36.62 Max - $43.94
Relocation: Case by Case Basis
Sign-On Bonus: $15K
Qualifications:
· Current State of Tennessee Medical Laboratory Supervisor General License required (LICENSE MUST BE IN HAND TO BE CONSIDERED)
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
· At least 5 years of experience as Medical Technologist
· Prior Supervisory experience preferred
· Licensure in 3 technical specialty areas preferred
· Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with all co-workers, staff, patients, patient families and vendors
· Proficient computer skills, i.e. ability to utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and other programs for creating reports
· Medi-tech experience preferred
The Laboratory Supervisor oversees technical and/or non-technical laboratory personnel and daily operations in assigned areas/shifts to achieve organization and regulatory requirements.
You Will:
· Your role supervises personnel, processes, service levels, regulatory compliance, and service levels in assigned areas.
· Functional areas of responsibility for your role may include, but are not limited to technical discipline areas in which department is licensed, specimen collection, specimen processing and specimen referral testing.
· You will perform technical and non-technical duties in assigned areas of responsibility as required.
· You will be responsible for achieving department goals for service, quality, regulatory compliance, financial performance, personnel management, patient satisfaction, healthy work environment, and integration of intra and inter-departmental activities in areas of responsibility.
