ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Ocala, Florida
Position Type: Permanent | Full-Time
Available Shifts
• Days (Rotating Weekends)
• Nights (Rotating Weekends)
Compensation
Hourly Pay Range:
$30.60 – $45.90/hour depending on experience
Shift Differentials
• Nights: +$4.25/hour
• Weekends: +$3.00/hour
Sign-On Bonus
• $10,000 – Days
• $15,000 – Nights
Relocation Assistance:
Available on a case-by-case basis
About the Opportunity
This position is with a 323-bed acute care hospital located in Ocala, Florida. The hospital serves as a Level I Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center for the region.
The ICU team provides care for critically ill patients across multiple specialties including trauma, neurological, cardiovascular, and complex medical cases. Nurses in this environment work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) coordinates and delivers high-quality patient-centered care consistent with the scope and standards of nursing practice.
Working collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, the RN provides individualized care using established nursing frameworks such as Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.
The RN advocates for patients and families while supporting clinical excellence and positive patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
• Perform procedures, monitoring, and treatments as ordered by providers
• Document care accurately and thoroughly in the patient medical record
• Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and treatment plans
• Translate complex medical information into clear patient education
• Prepare patients and families for discharge and long-term self-management
• Participate in evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care
Qualifications
• Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience (within the past 3 years)
• Higher acuity experience preferred (ICU/PCU/Stepdown)
• Strong Med/Surg nurses may be considered
Required Certifications
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – within 30 days of hire
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – within 30 days of hire
Licensure
• Active Florida RN license or Compact RN license
• Compact license holders must obtain Florida license within 60 days of relocation
Education
• Associate Degree in Nursing required
Preferred
• CCRN or Trauma Nursing Core Course within 1 year of hire
