Position Title: ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
Position Type: Permanent
Available Shifts:
- Days (Rotating Weekends)
- Nights (Rotating Weekends)
Job Summary and Qualifications
The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and requirements of the Intensive Care Unit and consistent with the scope and standards of nursing practice for the applicable state and specialty.
In collaboration with physicians and members of the interdisciplinary care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing processes such as assess, perform, teach, and manage. The RN serves as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers while supporting the organization’s mission and commitment to exceptional patient experiences and clinical outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform clinical procedures, monitoring, and treatments as ordered by medical providers
- Document all aspects of patient care accurately and in a timely manner within the medical record
- Educate patients and families regarding medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up care
- Provide education on wellness, disease prevention, healthy lifestyle changes, and self-management strategies
- Participate in evidence-based practice initiatives and continuous process improvement
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, and deliver a holistic plan of care
- Support quality measures and patient safety initiatives to promote optimal outcomes
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Acute Care RN experience (within the last 3 years); critical care experience preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 30 days of hire
- Current RN license in the applicable state or compact license
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
- CCRN or Trauma Nursing Core Course required within 1 year of hire
Compensation
- Salary Range: Minimum: $30.60/hr - Maximum (17+ years of experience): $45.90/hr (Based on Years of Experience)
- Shift Differentials:
- $4.25/hr for nights
- $3.00/hr for weekends
- Sign-On Bonus:
- $10, 000 for Day shift
- $15, 000 for Night shift
- Relocation Assistance: Available case by case
