Job Description
A Free Standing Emergency Department Registered Nurse opportunity is available in Tallahassee, FL at a 288-bed acute-care hospital offering 24/7 emergency services across Leon and Gadsden Counties.
The role. In this position, you will triage, assess, and treat patients of all ages presenting with conditions ranging from minor injuries to acute and critical illness. You will develop individualized care plans that identify expected outcomes and prescribe strategies to attain them, while managing multiple cases simultaneously and continuously reprioritizing patient needs. You will provide discharge instructions and coordinate necessary referrals, working closely with physicians and other departments to ensure patient-focused, safety-conscious care throughout every encounter.
What we're looking for.
- 1 year of Recent Acute Care ER RN experience Required * Would accept Critical Care Experience
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida, multistate or able to obtain licensure prior to start is required
- Associate Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma
- BLS must be obtained prior to employment start date
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- Advanced Cardiac Life Spt, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt, or PALS Instructor must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
Schedule. Positions are available on days, nights, and mids, all with rotating weekends.
Compensation. $29.92 - $44.88/hr plus $15,000 sign-on bonus
