Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our team in Tallahassee, Florida. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in fast-paced, high-stakes environments. As an ER RN, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients experiencing medical emergencies, ranging from minor injuries to life-threatening conditions. You’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive team focused on delivering safe, compassionate, and efficient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Triage, assess, and treat patients of all ages with a wide range of medical conditions
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on assessment and expected outcomes
- Manage multiple patients simultaneously, prioritizing based on acuity and need
- Provide discharge instructions and ensure patients understand follow-up care
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
- Uphold standards for patient safety, quality of care, and infection prevention
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care ER RN experience required
Licensure:
- Active Florida RN license OR Compact RN license with eligibility to apply for FL license
- If <3 years of RN experience and no FL license, must pass the NCLEX in Florida
Education:
- Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Certifications:
- BLS – Required prior to start
- ACLS – Within 90 days of start
- PALS – Within 90 days of start
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention – Within 90 days of start
Compensation & Incentives
- Hourly Pay Range:
- $27.72 (entry level)
- $33.00 (5 years)
- $36.30 (10 years)
- $39.60 (15+ years)
- Sign-On Bonus: $10-15,000
- Relocation Assistance: Available on a case-by-case basis
