Job Description
As Nurse Manager in the Emergency Department, you will be responsible for overseeing both the clinical and financial outcomes of the unit.
This entails managing day-to-day operations to ensure optimal patient care, adherence to established protocols and standards, and fostering positive patient, employee, and physician satisfaction.
The manager will work alongside the unit director, interfacing with all levels of the healthcare team, as well as the public.
Additionally, they will participate in setting patient-specific care standards, following service excellence guidelines to ensure high levels of patient satisfaction.
The roles and responsibilities will primarily involve a managerial and administrative focus with clinical responsibilities adjusted as needed.
Your key responsibilities will include managing unit operations, coordinating inter and intra-departmental activities, cultivating a professional climate within the nursing unit/units, maintaining supplies and medications, and overseeing daily KRONOS upkeep.
You will also be responsible for maintaining position control reports and PLUS productivity, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the daily Central/EMTALA log, and overseeing all Customer Service initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Current Texas RN License or a Compact RN license in the state of employment.
- BLS and ACLS/ALS certifications are required.
- New hires must obtain PALS and TNCC within 6 months of hire.
- Registered Nurse with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- 3+ years of experience as Charge RN, Coordinator, or Supervisor.
Salary up to $113K annually (based on experience)
