Job Description
This 323-bed ACS Level I Trauma Center and the region's only Comprehensive Stroke Center is seeking an Emergency Room RN in Ocala, FL.
The role. In this position, you will triage, assess, and treat patients of all ages — from minor injuries to acutely or critically ill presentations — while managing multiple cases simultaneously and continuously prioritizing patient needs. You will develop individualized care plans that identify expected outcomes and prescribe strategies and alternatives to attain them. Following care delivery, you will provide patients with follow-up care instructions and facilitate necessary referrals. Throughout all of this, you will coordinate closely with physicians and other hospital departments, maintaining a consistent focus on patient safety.
What we're looking for.
- 1 year of recent Med/Surg, PCU, ICU, or ED acute care experience required
- Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- Trauma Nursing Core Course, or TNCC Instructor must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
Schedule. Nights with rotating weekends.
Compensation. $32.00 - $48.00/hr
