Job Description
A Director of Surgical Services opportunity is available at a 284-bed, Level II Trauma Center acute care hospital in Lone Tree, CO — a destination facility with a dedicated Robotics Center and a Spine and Total Joint Center.
The role. Reporting to the VP of Surgical Services — alongside a Spine & Joint OR Director and a Perioperative Director — this Director oversees the Main OR (10 rooms) and Sterile Processing Department (SPD), with an OR Manager and SPD Manager reporting directly into this position. The Main OR handles approximately 500+ cases per month across a broad surgical mix (all non-ortho/spine/joint procedures), supported by a Robotics Center equipped with six Xi systems and one DV5. Core responsibilities include driving clinical quality and patient safety through evidence-based practices, managing variation in clinical practice to improve efficiency and outcomes, overseeing budget development and labor management, collaborating with physicians and administrative leaders to sustain and grow service lines, and fostering a culture of accountability and transparency across the department.
What we're looking for.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Required
- Master's Degree Preferred
- 1+ years of recent leadership experience in Surgical Services as a Director or very strong Managerial experience Required
- 3+ years applicable Surgical Services experience Required
Schedule. Full time, days, no weekends.
Compensation. $117,832 - $180,377 per year plus Sign-on bonus available
