Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Compensation: $118,019 – $177,020 (based on years of experience)
Incentives: Sign-on bonus negotiable | Relocation assistance available (case by case)

About the Role
The Director of Emergency Services ensures high-quality, patient-centered care through leadership of the overall function and staffing of the Emergency Department. This role is responsible for strategic planning, staff development, budgeting, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
You will partner with leadership, physicians, and frontline staff to drive continuous improvement in patient safety, experience, and clinical outcomes.

Drive evidence-based practices to advance safety and outcomes

Monitor compliance with legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards

Standardize care delivery to improve efficiency and effectiveness

Oversee policies, procedures, and nursing standards

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on throughput and discharge planning

Lead strategic initiatives to expand ED capabilities
Education & Experience
-
Required: Bachelor’s Degree (Nursing or approved field)

Preferred: BSN; Master’s Degree (Nursing, Healthcare, or related field)

Experience: 3+ years recent acute care ED Director or Manager experience
Department Snapshot

ED Capacity: 25 beds (plus vertical spaces)

Volume: 100–120 visits per day

Freestanding EDs: 1 active, 1 under construction

Team Structure: Director reports to CNO | 1 manager (growing to 2 with expansion) | CNCs and ~70 FTEs (~100 headcount)
