Job Description
As a Certified Surgical Technologist at [Your Healthcare Facility Name], you will play a crucial role in the operating room, ensuring that surgical procedures run smoothly and patients receive the best possible care. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Preparing the operating room for surgical procedures, including sterilizing equipment and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Assisting the surgical team by handing instruments and supplies to the surgeon during procedures.
- Maintaining a sterile field throughout the surgery to prevent infection.
- Anticipating the needs of the surgical team and ensuring a seamless flow of the operation.
- Assisting with patient positioning and draping.
- Collaborating with nurses, surgeons, and other team members to provide the highest standard of patient care.
Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST).
- Previous experience as a Surgical Technologist is preferred but not required for entry-level positions.
- Knowledge of surgical procedures and aseptic techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call duties.
