Sterile Processing Supervisor
Directs, plans organizes and evaluates staff and activities of Sterile Processing in compliance with Department of Health, TJC, OSHA, CDC, AAMI, AORN Standards and facility goals and policies. Coordinates the day-to-day operations regarding the reprocessing of surgical instruments and trays. This role coordinates sterile processing for inpatient and outpatient surgeries at our Level II Trauma Center. Requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and often involves working with complex machinery.
- Cleaning and Sterilizing Equipment: Operate sterilization machines and other equipment to clean and disinfect instruments, following strict protocols to ensure safety and efficacy.
- Inspection and Maintenance: Inspect instruments for damage, ensure they are functioning correctly, and perform routine maintenance on sterilization equipment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes, equipment maintenance, and inventory of supplies.
- Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations and infection control standards to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a sterile environment.
- Quality Control: Monitor and test sterilization processes to verify they meet required standards and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Supervision: Supervise and manage a small team of Certified Sterile Processing Technicians.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience (Required)
- Min 2 -3 years of management experience (Required)
- Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CSPT) (Required)
- Vocational Program Graduate (Preferred)

Pay Range: $29.00 - $36.00 per hour
