Certified Hand Therapist
(Occupational Therapy)
Job Summary:
1. Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients with hand and upper extremity injuries or conditions to develop individualized treatment plans.
2. Treatment Planning: Design and implement rehabilitation programs to improve hand function, strength, and mobility, incorporating therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and adaptive techniques.
3. Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about injury prevention, self-care techniques, and the use of assistive devices.
4. Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, physical therapists, and nurses, to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
6. Custom Orthotics: Fabricate and fit custom splints or orthotics to support and protect the hand or upper extremity during the healing process.
7. Rehabilitation Techniques: se modalities like heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation to aid in the rehabilitation process.
Location: Miami, FL
Pay Range: $35 - $50 per hour
Qualifications:
- 4 Year Bachelor’s Degree (Required).
- Occupational Therapy Florida State License (Required).
- Minimum 1 Year of Hand Therapist Eperience (Required)
