Job Title: Certified Diabetes Educator - Pediatrics

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) specializing in Pediatrics to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing education, support, and guidance to pediatric patients and their families managing diabetes. As a Certified Diabetes Educator, you will collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance the quality of care and empower patients to effectively manage their diabetes.

Responsibilities:
  • Pediatric Diabetes Education:
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive diabetes education programs tailored specifically for pediatric patients and their families.
  • Provide individualized education sessions focusing on diabetes management, monitoring, and lifestyle adjustments.
  • Assessment and Care Planning:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of pediatric patients with diabetes to understand their unique needs, challenges, and goals.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop personalized care plans that address the physical, emotional, and developmental aspects of pediatric diabetes management.
  • Patient Support and Counseling:
  • Offer ongoing support and counseling to pediatric patients and their families, addressing psychological and emotional aspects of living with diabetes.
  • Facilitate group sessions to foster peer support and share best practices among pediatric patients and their caregivers.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation:
  • Regularly assess and evaluate the effectiveness of diabetes management plans for pediatric patients.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to adjust care plans based on patient progress, emerging technologies, and medical advancements.
  • Community Outreach and Education:
  • Engage in community outreach programs to raise awareness about pediatric diabetes and prevention strategies.
  • Conduct educational sessions in schools, community centers, and other relevant venues to promote diabetes education and early detection.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.27 - $51.46 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
