Job Description
A CVICU Registered Nurse opportunity is available in Ocala, FL at a 323-bed ACS Level I Trauma Center that serves as the region's only Comprehensive Stroke Center, with additional specialty services spanning cardiovascular, neurological, orthopedic, and robotic surgery care.
The role. The CVICU RN cares for the unit's most critically ill patients, including those requiring mechanical ventilation and complex vasoactive or titrated drip management. The nurse serves as the primary advocate for patients and families, protecting privacy and confidentiality throughout the care continuum. Patient and family education is a core responsibility, encompassing medication instruction and individualized treatment guidance. The position operates within a collaborative ICU team environment with a shared commitment to continuous quality improvement in critical care delivery.
What we're looking for.
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care ICU RN experience (within the last 2–3 years); candidates with 2+ years of PCU RN experience will also be considered
- Active Florida RN license or approved multistate compact RN license required; compact license holders must obtain the Florida license within 60 days of relocation
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
- BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer
- ACLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire or transfer
Schedule. Night shift with rotating weekends.
Compensation. $32.00 - $48.00/hr
