Job Description
Job Summary: As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will play a crucial role in providing direct care and support to patients under the supervision of licensed nurses and healthcare professionals. Your compassionate demeanor, strong work ethic, and dedication to patient well-being will contribute to maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for our our Senior Living clients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding, while promoting independence and respecting individual preferences.
- Take and record vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, pulse rate, and respiration, and report any significant changes or abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Help patients with mobility and transfers, utilizing proper body mechanics and assistive devices as needed to ensure safety and prevent falls or injuries.
- Assist in positioning and turning bedridden patients to prevent pressure ulcers and promote comfort, following established protocols and guidelines.
- Serve meals and assist patients with eating and drinking, adhering to dietary restrictions and special instructions as directed by healthcare providers.
- Clean and maintain patient care areas, equipment, and supplies to ensure a clean and hygienic environment conducive to healing and recovery.
- Escort patients to appointments, tests, and procedures within the healthcare facility, offering reassurance and assistance as needed during transportation.
- Observe and report changes in patient condition or behavior to the nursing staff promptly, documenting observations accurately and comprehensively.
- Follow infection control protocols, standard precautions, and safety procedures to minimize the risk of healthcare-associated infections and ensure a safe working environment for patients and staff.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, staff trainings, and quality improvement initiatives to contribute to the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues, respecting their privacy and rights at all times.
Qualifications:
- Current Pennsylvania certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1-2 Years CNA Experience
Schedule: Days and Mid-Shift Available
Compensation:
Hourly Pay: $16 - $18 per/hour (D.O.E.) + Full Benefits
