Job Description

A skilled nursing and rehab facility in Bethlehem, PA is hiring full-time and part-time CNAs for their day and evening shifts.

The open CNA positions involve providing hands-on care and comfort to residents. Main responsibilities are responding promptly to calls for assistance, reporting changes in residents' conditions, helping residents walk and move around, assisting with eating, bathroom use, bathing, grooming, charting, and attending required training.  

Applicants should have a high school diploma/GED, 2+ years of experience as a CNA preferred, and knowledge of nursing care procedures. Active CNA certification in PA is required. CPR certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire (provided by the facility).

CNAs must be able to work weekends and holidays. The day shift is from 7am-3pm and the evening shift is 3pm-11pm. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:8 on days and 1:10 on evenings. RNs and LPNs are also on the floor.

The CNA will provide attentive care and ensure a calm, clean, and safe environment for residents. They must promptly respond to calls for help, report any changes in residents' conditions to nurses, and routinely assist incontinent residents.

CNAs will properly assist residents in moving, walking, and transferring between beds and wheelchairs to ensure safety and comfort. They will help residents with daily activities like bathing, grooming, eating, toileting, and getting dressed.

Other core duties include applying creams per facility guidelines, feeding residents at mealtimes if needed, monitoring and recording food/fluid intake and output, transporting residents to appointments, documenting provided care, attending training programs, following all policies and procedures, respecting confidentiality, protecting residents' rights, and performing any other assigned tasks.

Compensation is competitive. Benefits include medical, dental, paid time off, 401k, and pension plan. Health insurance starts on the 1st of the month after hire date, with 80% paid by the facility. Pension eligibility begins after 2 years of employment.


Day Shift - 7:00am-3:00pm

Evening Shift- 3:00-11:00p.m

ScheduleFull time 37.5 hrs; Part-time 22-25 hrs; Every other weekend and holiday required.

 Minimum Education
  •   High School Diploma/ GED

Minimum Work Experience
  • 2+ years’ experience of nursing assistant experience - preferred
  • Knowledge of relevant nursing care
  • CNA Ratios 

7-3 shift 1:8 / 3-11 shift 1:10 / 11-7 shift 1:18/20 (sleep) 
  • No specific color for Scrubs
  • Facility has LPN and RN's on the floor along with a RN House supervisor on each shift

 Required Licenses/Certifications
  • CPR - CPR is not needed to be considered or at time of hire. Facility asks that they have it within 90 days. Facility will provide the CPR certification. 
  • Must possess a valid Nurse Aide Registration in Pennsylvania



Shift Differential in addition to base rate: Evenings 3:00pm - 11:00pm $2.00 per hour
