Respiratory Therapist – RRT/CRT
Location: Gainesville, FL
Shifts Available: Nights (rotating weekends)
Compensation: Based on experience (see salary scale below)
Sign-On Bonus: $20,000 (Nights only)
Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case basis
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) to join our clinical team. This role is responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients across multiple units, including ICU, CVICU, NICU, PICU, and other critical care areas. The therapist will deliver and manage therapies, monitor patient responses, and ensure the safe use of respiratory equipment.
Key Responsibilities

Administer routine and advanced respiratory therapies as prescribed by physicians

Set up, maintain, and monitor oxygen, aerosol therapy, ventilators, and other respiratory equipment

Perform and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs)

Monitor patient responses, recognize side effects, and adjust care as needed

Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and healthcare teams

Provide education and instruction to patients and staff

Identify and report potential abuse or neglect when observed
Qualifications
-
Minimum 1 year of RRT experience required (ICU, CVICU, NICU, PICU, or other critical care units)

Candidates with home care and/or long-term care experience may also be considered

CRT candidates may also be considered

Current Florida Respiratory License (required)

NBRC certification (RRT or CRT)

BLS certification (required upon hire)

ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications (required within 30 days of hire)
Compensation & Incentives

Base Pay (based on years of experience):

<1 year: $27.42/hour

2–3 years: $29.89/hour

4–5 years: $31.12/hour

6–7 years: $32.36/hour

9–10+ years: $33.59/hour

16+ years: $36.95/hour

Shift Differentials:

Nights: +$4.25/hour

Weekends: +$3.00/hour
